Originally from Calgary, Jenna moved to Vancouver after living in Australia for three years where she finished her marketing degree.
Because her mom works as a flight attendant, Jenna’s gotten to enjoy incredible travel experiences across Europe, South America, Asia, and Africa.
Jenna is thrilled to bring her love of travel to her work, where she gets to advocate for extraordinary destinations across her home country.
When she’s not in the office, she loves to read, visit the farmers market, and take her Great Dane on long walks around Mount Pleasant.
What is your favorite place in Canada?
I’m very fond of Vancouver. Since moving here, I’ve loved getting to know the neighborhoods, trying out local coffee shops, finding the perfect rain gear to handle Pacific Northwest winters, and enjoying the fabulous summers. Beyond being a cool city to live in, it’s an excellent jumping-off point for visits to the Gulf Islands or adventures east across Canada.
What is your best travel memory in Canada?
I loved visiting Baddeck, the village my partner grew up in, on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. The stunning scenery, endless lobster, and salt-of-the-earth people made my experience cozy and memorable. I was blown away by the tight-knit community, where everyone seems to know everyone. The distinctly kind people surrounded by one of the most beautiful places in the country make Atlantic Canada somewhere I will return to again and again.
What one thing in Canada should you experience at least once in your life?
Driving through the Rockies is special—although I didn’t recognize that until I moved away from home. Wildlife sightings, towering mountains, canoeing, snowshoeing—and whatever outdoor adventures call to you—are there. And if you prefer to relax, there are some stunning spas too. The town of Canmore, Sunshine Ski Resort, and the Banff Candy Store are personal favourites I’ve enjoyed since childhood, and I love bringing my friends from other countries to visit these places.
